Agenda For Change
It is clear that the tradeable sector gets little policy consideration from policy makers. In February 2008 we surveyed manufacturers and exporters and the results of the that survey were captured in a letter to all political parties in New Zealand. That letter is linked below. We will be listing on this page the responses we receive in regard to that letter.
One way or another the overall performance of our economy will be underwritten by the performance of our tradeable sector: primary, processed primary and elaborate transformation all have a role to play in that future, policy has a major influence on the viability of our manufacturers and exporters. We have not done much of a job to date, we need an agenda for change for tradeables to grow and prosper.
